April 2o, 2012: Pertusis and Whooping Cough

Alarming increased incidence of Whooping Cough and Pertusis.  This is a crucial reminder of why our children all should receive their vaccinations, and adults their boosters!  Tdap booster is available to anyone, regardless of how recently you got your last Td (tetanus shot). If you got a tetanus in the ER after cutting yourself, it was not a Tdap. Whooping cough is very unpleasant for adults, deadly for babies, and preventable.  Make sure that you are up to date, and if you are not please call FMCDA clinic to schedule your immunization.  Click here to read more.
